I just received my dead brother's computer that had a lot of malware on it. It was not up to date with the Windows security patches so I got Windows update. I noticed that the anti-virus software was not updated as well, so I installed Nortons 360. I ran a scan and it removed several malware from the computer. I also ran the tools in MajorGeeks malware removal procedures and I've attached the logs.

I noticed the computer wa running at a good speed until I started removing the malware then it became slower.

Please assist me with the removal of the balance of malware on this computer.

    Thanks

Note: I tried to attach the logs for Superantispyware, and Malwarebytes and I could not find the logs. I've ran both of these tools several times and I am having difficulties with the logs. Additionally, the MGTools logs is missing as well.

I tried to export the log file in Malwarebytes into a text file and I get a runtime error then the progran shuts down.

Superantispyware options are set to save the log file but the programs says there are no log files in the system

I will try to run both tools again and try to save the logs and send them in another post

If you ran MGTools properly, the log is at C:\MGLogs.zip.

The log is not there, I will re-run MGTools and send the log

Make sure you have turned off UAC and have disabled your AV software.

Your logs are clean. Any additional issues should be addressed in either software or hardware forums.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
