If you haven't resolved it by checking your cabling thoroughly,

    We need more details, please.

Tell us exactly what happenened and what the hardware is.

I have an emachines T-3095, I had a maxtor 120gb hdd, that i took out and replaced, but i wanted to put it back in, it didnt work anymore. Usually if you hold a hdd while its plugged in you can feel it running, this ones isnt getting any power, or just doesnt wotk anymore.

    Let me get this straight.

You changed a working? hard drive (driveA) for a different one (driveB)(known to be working?)

Were the jumpers set to slave or cable select?
Was the connection to the middle of the ribbon cable?
Did the computer boot OK with drive B in?
    Did it recognise Drive B?
You then removed drive B and put drive A back
The computer started but failed to find the operating system drive (driveC)

You then rechecked the cabling including other cabling that might have been disturbed.

Did you enter the bios and redetect the hard drives?
