    Hi, how's your day going? Good? Cool. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that I get to keep my gif below for another year. Hopefully they are sending me new awards so I can wear my pin at your house and display my plaque in your home. Actually, now that I have 2, I would love to let you borrow one so you can think of me often. If not for anything else, you will also be able to see this gif numerous times a day in emails I send you.

    I am not sure that people realize just how much these guys contribute. They all put in a huge amount of man-hours on this forum alone. They truly are dedicated to improving the knowledge and experience of many many computer users.

    Cheers folks.

    Its nice to be recognised for deeds done, not just on MGs but in other areas, I have had alot of contact with Microsoft for my work as well, in which they have been very generous.

    My congrats to all too. Great site and great help. I've learned a whole lot since stumbling across you guys a couple of years ago. I was a total novice back then (hopefully not 'total' now ;)).
    I remember hearing back then that there were people who were willing to give free advice on computer problems. I couldn't beleive it. I wondered why anyone would do that. Turned out to be true (in case you were wondering). Still wondering why anyone would do that:-D. Many many thanks.:wave

    TBH GCWesq, I guess the free advice has for the majorgeeks side of things has been around for many many years, initially it was on Tweakfiles back in the day. I guess many folk just wish to share and that is something great in the internet community, where race, colour, creed, religion etc etc is forgotten and all that matters is fixing a computer issue.

    No boundaries or boarders matter, kinda wish our governments where the same!

    The ADSL stands for when i started out back in 2001 i was a AOL broadband host with the title ADSL(broadband) host UK so when i left i just changed the host to nick :major i hadn't a clue when i left AOL on where to go and i ended up here giving Tim a hand and then helping out all over the place and to this day I'm still out and about :-D

    Most/all are multiple year recipients also which means an ongoing commitment to helping since the award is for one year only.
    Shows the quality of the site to have so many people with those qualifications and dedication as resident members.

    Well earned all, and thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. All of you make this site a patient and knowledgeable place to learn. I can't remember the last time I saw malware or an error message, all I have to look forward to is hardware failure ;)






    @ MA thanks for the laugh, that was funny! It looks like Jim might have gotten the last laugh, he misplaced your gif? I can see Nick's and David's but not yours...
