    Okay dumb question for Halo or MGpower0 how do you get an image posted in your posts without using "Attached Images" using Opera as a browser right know, but have FF & IE

    Teasing will be accepted!!!!!

    But I use a hosting service, http://imageshack.us/ is fine and all you do once you uploaded your image is to copy the url text by Hotlink for forums (1) > paste it into your next post and just if you wish to keep it clean from the little advert text remove the [/B] tags and just keep the data be...Gpower0[/B] used [url]http://photobucket.com/

    Thanks clear as mud, those are the HTML tags right ie (quote) & (/quote) but in caps and [] right guess a guy should pick-up his HTML book and read it right........the Hotlink for forums (1) > has me stumped a bit is that on Imageshack...........

    Now I have given you enough ammo fire away!!!!!:D ;)

    Okley kokely.... lets see if I can do this,

    Goto http://imageshack.us/

    the click on Browse and locate on your hard drive or portable media the piccy you wish to post.

    Then click Host it!

    You will be presented with a vast array of various links for different jobs, but I generally on a forum choose

    http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/817/1rz3.jpg

    Just click the box arrowed with the url text in and rigth click > copy

    Then past into a post like thus

    [URL....=http://imageshack.us] [IMG....]http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/500/oopsgv0.jpg[/IMG....] [/URL....]

    Note: I added some ........'s to the tags to as I forgot the no-parse tag :(

    Delete the bits in Red and keep the bits in Blue and your pic will look like mine and MGs

    Thanks again Halo as usual tired or not you always come through, will try it later today

    If you create a document in say Word and insert the HTML tags IMG & /IMG prior to and after a photo, and copy and paste to the thread..........Will that work as well!!!

    No you have uploaded the pic to online hosting and used the URL they provide to the pic as if its a link to a location on your HD that will not work as you would have to be running a server with open access, kinda guessing you dont want to do that.


    With the tags remember to use [] to enclose them.

    and mine reads 'March 1st 2036" maybe i need to quit smoking so i can see man do the "moon walk" on mars ;) lol

    Out of curiosity how long do the image hosting sites keep the photo available for this, reason I ask is that I have noticed in some "Old" threads that the photo box says Photo unavailable?

    @BC grey,thats not a bad number to shoot for,25 years ago computers were 1,000,000,000 times slower than they are today,in another 25 years computers will be 1,000,000,000 times faster,thats more powerfull than the human brain,we will have true AI that will be able to design themselves 'if they feel like:)',comps will get freaky fast,you'll also be able to download your brain to one and live forever,depnding on your religious perspective of souls and around a billion philosophical ones,will it be you,ect.ect :D
