All of a sudden, a window popped up telling me Microsoft C++ couldn't debug, or something like that, and aksed if I wanted to retry. Can anyone tell me what this means? I didn't try and debug anything. Should I be worried? It did happen right after a spyware scan.

This is not a malware problem or at least does not seem like it.

What were you running? Does it happen frequently or only once?

Just once. I was running Microsoft Anti-spyware and Spysubtract.

You should not run both scanners at the same time.

Is your SpySubtract a purchased version? If not, you may as well uninstall it because it will not fix anything (at least as far as I remember).
