DeCrap Craped my PC Software

and this is relevant and helpful to my god awful situation from using Decrap because....?

Let me guess....your a Star Wars fan yet have / had no idea/ could care a less who Joseph Campbell is....right?

 

You did when you mentioned it deleted your music and other things. As mdonah mentioned, I wasn't referring to age or multiple owners of the PC, but instead that it was run on a machine that was not straight out of the box. That is the only time I would ever recommend a Decrap program. Even then, I'd only recommend it after I knew there was reinstall media too.


At the end of the day, you are better off going to appwiz.cpl and removing the stuff yourself. It is safer and just as effective as long as you do not mind removing remnant application folders yourself.

 

Please return to a civil tone. I am sympathetic to your situation, but that does not give the right to belittle others.

If you are responding to either of "my" last posts the relevancy is to learn from your misfortune and start a Back Up system that suits you.

If you are guessing about me then let me educate you on that also. Personally I have never had any use for Star Wars at all. If you are referring to Joseph Campbell of the "Follow your bliss" born here in NY south of me that assumption is also incorrect. If you are referring to yourself as Joseph Campbell you are again incorrect. If I didn't have a concern for you I would not have taken the time to "try" to prevent you from another nasty problem. It WILL happen again DeCrap, malware or a system crash of some type. In that case you may just loose everything on your machine. Now that will be a BAD day when it comes.

Bottom line is if you had a Back UP system in place at the time of your DeCrap misery you would NOT have lost one single song. This is the relevancy you are seeking. Take this crummy instance and learn from it and move forward to protect yourself in the future.

 

Thx anyway (?) and you clearly know all..... but defending Decrap and shoulda coulda woulda doesn't help me or anyone now
