My default browser was Internet Explorer. Heard Slim is better, so downloaded it. Now, ever since, I am unable to click on a link that is e-mailed to me. Always get told that "Page cannot be displayed", therefore have to copy & paste instead of being taken directly to link.. Why would that be? Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Also, how does one learn who the default browser is?

    Thanks, Joy

    Hi Joy
    welcome to Major Geeks.
I'm not certain why that browser does not load the pages properly. Have you compared the URL that you click on to the one in the address bar to see if they are the same?

You can check which application opens documents by opening windows explorer, clicking on view at the top and then clicking folder options and then clicking on file types. Search for HTML file type and it will display the currently associated application that will launch that file type.

Thanks for prompt reply. It doesn't matter which link is e mailed to me, cannot get there because "page cannot be displayed", so have to copy & paste.

Went to Windows Explorer & folder options is not there. This seems to have only started when I made Slim my default.

Any other suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Joy
