Default Gateway same as my IP addy

Ok, I hope I can explain thoroughly enough.

I've had a linksys wrt54g2 router set up running through a motorola surfboard modem. internet was working fine until a family friend messed with something, im not sure what it was but now the router wont give out wireless internet.

The router is still hard lined to the computer through the surfboard modem, so obviously there internet passing through. Why it wont give out internet, well, thats why im asking you guys :]

I've tried resetting both the router and the modem. I've made sure in the network connections that its obtaining an ip automatically. I've tried going to the default router website (192.168.1.1) but nothing ever pops up. Says it cant find it. I've ran Winsockxpfix, nothing.

I've gone to "run" and typed in "cmd" then "ipconfig /all" and this is what popped up:

You can see my default gateway and my ip are the same. Im not sure if thats why I cant give out wireless internet or whatever. im sorta new to networking haha. If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it greatly. I wanna get to playing Modern Warfare 2 online on my new computer in the bedroom .

are you sure you hooked your modem to your router correctly? modem to WAN/Internet port on router, then computers hooked to other "switch" ports. The IP address is public, and youre trying to access the private IP address of your router to get into the web interface for the router settings. make sure your modem is plugged into the router correctly, then do an ipconfig/release and then an ipconfig/renew in the command prompt.
should fix your problem.
