How do I change the default Program Files folder in Windows 2000? The computer is set up so one partition stores all the programs while Windows itself is on Another Partition. It gets annoying having to replace the C with a D everytime I install a program.

HI, I use my computer like you but I set it up first using COA2 from PC magazine a ZD net production.

It is able to transfer folders and make all the neccesary changes to registry.

I did notice that Program Files folder does still appear in theold partition but it is only that some programs won't obey the rules. Common Files seems to be a persistent one.

I don't know the actual registry tweaks needed as it was all automatic. Peace Mal
