Hi i'm running xp home ed on a new dell machine. I'm malware/virus free at the moment (recently had small problem, all cleared up now, so all the pre-post guidelines in malware section have been completed).

My current issue is,for some reason i cannot run full system scan with Adaware of MS antispy. I have run check disk - no problems. I have defragged - 4 files would not, 2 were just ripped cd tracks, so i don't see them as a problem, as none of the scans get stuck on 'my doc' files the other two were

    windows/inf/brmfcsto.pnf ( 2 fragments , 9kb)
    and
    windows/inf/brmfcumd.pnf (3 fragments 8kb)

Could these files be an issue? any thoughts much appreaciated.

I dont think it is a big deal, you might want to try your spyware scans from safe mode.

Thanks for that , major, it does bug me a little, but thanks for the reassurance.
