Defrag

Hi - I hope some one can help. I have downloaded IOBitDefrag and JkDefrag and neither one will work....it gives me an error that a certain DLL was not loaded. I did not write the error message down...sorry Needless to say they are both gone now. I have Windows ME 128MB memory, could that have something to do with it also? Any help will be appreciated! Those programs may not be set up to run on a Windows ME machine. Windows has a built in defrag tool under start-programs-accessories-system tools. If you're looking for something that does a better job, maybe you could try looking here: http://majorgeeks.com/downloads8.html

There are a few different programs to choose from that might be what you're looking for.

 

Thank you.....I have read several threads that recommended using a more intense defrag program instead of the MS built in one - which I use 2x a month. Anyway, thank you for your quick reply. I guess it is really time for me to upgrade to XP, not to mention my memory...thanks again! KathyM

Upgrading to XP and adding more memory would be a very good idea. Not many things will work with Windows ME these days.

 

Diskeeper Lite will work on 98 and ME plus it is free.
