There are a number of files, including what appear to be program (.exe) files in the "my briefcase" folder of my Win 98se computer....all listed as "orphan."
Is it okay to delete all of these?
I normally use a Mac, so am not very Windows literate. Any help greatly appreciated.

Create a different folder, name it "orphan" or whatever. Then move those files from the briefcase to that folder. If you reboot several times and everything works fine, then I would say they are safe to delete.
