    Hi
Ive been having a problem with deleting things lately and its really starting to annoy me now. Ive been burning quite alot of things to dvds lately and once its been burnt deleting them from my hard-drive, say after about deleted about 2 dvds worth of data and emptying the recycle bin it will work fine, but come to delete anything after that point (this is only an example, not how it is actually working, it just seems to do it at random intervals) and empty the recycle bin im constantly gettin an error along these lines:

Cannot delete dd25: Access is denied

Make sure that the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use

Though the cannot delete file is always changing it usually begins with dc or dd followed by a few numbers. Also I am finding sometimes that the recycle bin icon will appear full although I know nothing is in there but if I try to empty the recycle bin it says "Are you sure you want to delete C:\Windows".

If I restart my machine once this error appears and attempt to empty the recycle bin it works fine, but its rather annoying always having to restart the machine.

Someone told me to try to following out in command prompt:

    cd/
    rd /s recycler
    chkdsk /r

Though this doesnt appear to have solved the problem either. The problem has just occured as I have emptied the recycle bin and it says there are 3 files still in there, even though they are not visible, i loaded up the cmd prompt and tried the rd /s recycler command and it tells me this:

    recycler\S-1-5-~1\Dc160.avi - Access is denied.
    recycler\S-1-5-~1\Dc162.avi - Access is denied.
    recycler\S-1-5-~1\Dc163.avi - Access is denied.

Though I have not actually deleted anything with those filenames, nor do I have any files with those file names. Though it has been .avi files I have been deleting.

And yet another problem what is occuring, if i move files via the cut+paste im finding that the files are moved successfully, but if i go back to the original place the file was stored, the file will still appear to be there, try and delete it, access denied appears. When the machine is restarted the file has gone and been deleted. The files are constantly gettin locked up in windows even though they are not in use and ive no idea what the dc/dd.avi files are!?

Any ideas? Its very strange, ive ran a full virus search as well as all the adaware/spyware software I know and it doesnt find anything. Im tempted to just re-install windows as its really starting to annoy me.

    Any help is much appreciated.

It looks like your system could be infected, first make sure you have done a thorough virus sweep of your system.

I located some info via google, i do think you already found this yourself but it might be worth looking into it.click here to go to the page
