Delete tool?

    my mother said her computer is having problem connecting internet. She using 56k modem, win me, dell computer, need say more? Anyway, she uninstalled earthlink to install MSN8, but failed to connect to recieve phone numbers for her local servers. So she uninstall MSN and install AOL, she couldnt get on internet still and error said check for connection settings. She also said she saw earthlink folder with some files inside under program in window explorer and tried to delete it. It wont be deleted or allow to be deleted. I told my mother to avoid these ISP softwares cuz they all are spywares and more trouble than worth. So any tool to delete the stubborn files and fix internet settings for win me so I can send it to her. thanks

    I would suggest:

    Ad-Aware - Spyware tools
    RegCleaner - Registry Tools

    Also, be sure her modem was not uninstalled or that something didnt modify her modem settings, ie, it shows as proper modem in control panel and working properly.

    Gotta leave for a few hours, hope it helps.
