I'm reading that if Verizon toolbar has bumped my IE toolbar, that this may be Malware? (I do access the internet through Verizon DSL, but I've always had the IE browser, not this Verizon garbage) I can't delete Verizon toolbar through Add/Remove, it's not there. I've run SpyBot, AdAware, CCleaner AND system restore to get IE6 back, no luck.
Toolbar at the bottom of the page (Start, various icons) can only be accessed if I'm back at desktop with nothing open.
I was dusting my keyboard and must have hit hotkeys of some sort, but I can't stand this Verizon toolbar. I'm not familiar with HiJackthis either, if you need that. Can you help, please?

Your websight has been very informative. I thought I had run all the spyware tools correctly, but after reading Understanding, Cleaning and Preventing Spyware, the problem has been corrected.

I'm happy to hear you resolved your problem. The Verizon Toolbar is not classified as malware. It may have been something you did not want but we cannot call it malware. At least not yet. ;)
