A workmate has accidently deleted a spreadsheet off a network drive.
Where does the deleted file go?
Should it end up in the Recycle bin on his "C" drive?
Can it be defaulted to go to his "C" Recycle bin (in future)?
Is there normally a Recycled bin on each drive on the network?

Files on network drives don't go to the recycle bin. They're deleted immediately. Hence the "Are you certain you want to delete this file" prompt. The only hope of recovering the files is to restore from backup.

Thanks for the reply. He was trying to rename the file and hit the delete selection instead. And answered "Yes" to the prompt without reading it properly. Bazza
