    Hi guys,

This might seem a little strange...

I bought a new laptop - long story short, its dead. I know the hard drive is fine though.

I have to take it back to where I bought it to get a replacement laptop, however ALL my files are on it and I'm not happy about just handing that over.

I know I can hook it up externally to another computer and wipe all photos, documents, music, videos etc. but my question is how do I wipe my emails.

I was running Windows Live at the time with my hotmail account and I don't want this accessible to anyone.

Any help would be much aprpeciated.

    Thanks

On Win7/Vista, the WLM mail store should be in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\. (Where username will match the name of your user account)

Is there anything preventing you from cleaning the drive entirely? If you really wanted to be sure, a tool like Active KillDisk might be advisable.
