Deleting Windows folder

I was recently instructed to rename one of my windows folders to AWINDOWS. After several days of monitoring my comp to make sure everything still worked as normal, I was told to go ahead and delete the folder. However, the folder cannot be deleted. Anytime i try to delete the folder it reappears in windows explorer. This reason for my wanting to delete the windows folder is because at this momment I have two different Windows XP Pro's on one partition. Ive copied everything I needed from the first windows over to the new windows (Windows2). So I'm ready to get rid of the first windows (which was infected by malware and doesnt run) to free up some space on my hard drive. Any suggestions?

 

They are on separate partitions correct? If they are you can put in your windows disk and delete that partition and reformat it.

ok i got unlocker. Question is, does this sound right though, just deleting the Awindows folder? Im trying to get rid of all the programs that were associated with it too. Im sure i have two versions of many applications on my hard drive now. Ive had to dload many things over since the old windows got hosed.
