    Welcome to Major Geeks measterl59.

You don't mention which OS you're using so, don't know if this will help or not. But try taking a look at the Dell Community Support Forums here. I can't test this since I don't have an A920.

If that one doesn't work maybe you can find what you need looking through these, also at Dell Community Support.

Well I have xp pro, I installed it once but I got a virus and reformatted and started over, I may have cought something that prevents the dell all in one software from autorunning. I don't know if I have any other programs that auto run. But even when I go into the aio disk and try to execute any of the set up programs on the disk. It looks like it going to run but nothing no error msgs. nutin. As I said I have the drivers but not what I'm after. I have seen nothing on the dell site about the particular AIO download. I have gleened somewhere that it is a rebranded lexmark. but I doubt lexmark will have what I'm looking for.
    thanks for your previous help.

Hi measterl59 :wave, if you are looking for the Dell Support Center, I also had issues with it, but I am on a dial up connection, and it never did what it was supposed to do anyway, just don't worry about it. You can still go to Dell for any drivers you need, no biggie.. It is the DSC itself, and I was told to just flat out delete it. Nope, mine never did anything it was supposed to either, I think it is just bloatware in the first place. Yes, it 'looks' good, but that is about it. If the DSC is what you are looking for , just leave it off. Won't hurt a thing. ;)

Does Windows recognize the printer? Can you print documents and such? If so, try using something like XnView.

From the file menu in XnView click on the "Select TWAIN source" option, hopefully in the "Select Source" window you'll see a "WIA-Dell Printer A920" option. If it's there, highlight it and click the "Select" button. Then in the file menu again, select "Acquire".

As I understand it, the download on this page is not only the drivers for the A920 but also contains the "All-In-One Center" and the OCR programs as well.

However, in this particular post(one I pointed you to earlier) is a sequence of steps to be followed as well as a link to a necessary patch from Dell that needs to be run to ensure that the printer is no longer installed before trying to reinstall it.

Once you've followed the steps in the above mentioned post, make sure to read the "Installation Instructions" on the download page.
