Dell Axim 30

I have a pocket pc running windows mobile 2003 se. I would like to reinstall
this OS or later version of win mobile on this device.
Can anyone tell me how this is done?
I have a PC repair and administrator's degree but this unit is a trip!

 

As far as I know, all accessory aps are installed by syncing, but I've not yet tried reformatting the unit's primary drive chip and performing a clean install OS operation.
The operating system has failed and needs reinstalled. Dell wants me to send it to them with a bunch of money, but I'd rather do it myself.
Any leads on recources for Wndows Mobile 2003 SE or later installable OS
would make me a happy camper!

Did Dell not send youa CD? HP sent a CD witht he device itself, and there was a product key on the machine itself.

Also, have you tried a hard reset? Thats supposed to reset the OS and everything back to factory defaults.

 

Adryn is correct. A hard reset will return you to factory defaults.
There is a little reset button (inset) on the back of the unit. Hold down the power button and use your stylus tip to push the reset; release the power button and remove the stylus from depressing the reset and that should take care of it for you.

Thanx! Pretty simple huh? Hard reset fixed the problem.
Also, No Dell did not send me a cd. I wish they would've though.
