dell B110

    i have a dellB110 that is soooo slow i installed a new hard drive and it takes forever to load windows and when i click on something it takes forever to load i had this problem b4 i installed the new hd any ideas on what this could be i formatted the new hd b4 i put it in and put a fresh copy of xp pro on it please help please

    there are so many things it could be. but to make it easier for others that will be more help than i am, post the specs of the computer and all pertinent info. might makes things go a little easier in troubled shooting.

    Installing more RAM is always a good starting point.
    Also, if old drive was 5400RPM, a newer 7200RPM would make a big difference.
    Will wait on specs before further comments.

    Intel celeron 2.53 ghz cpu with 512 mb ram

    Why did you install a new hard drive? What is the make, model and size of the hd?

    Info I found about graphics
    If you have 512MB of RAM and the video is using 64MB, then you have remaining 448MB for your computer use. That is one reason why it is slow.
    Get more memory.
