I have a dimension e521 with the motherboard it came with and i need to wipe the bios manually. Is there a switch for that on the motherboard?
    Thank you

You can not wipe a BIOS; information always remains.
Your choices are: remove the button battery so it "forgets" any custom settings and reverts back to factory condition or flash the BIOS to get an updated one that fixes problems you might be having.

Does sound like he meant reset. Some boards use small switchs and others use jumpers.
(but you already knew that, didn't you?)

Most just have a small clip on one side that, when pushed away from the battery, will let the battery pop up.

I tried it but it didnt do what i wanted so how do you flash the bios because i was hoping that would work to fix my problem.
