It seems the new dell's automatically redirect your homepage to their own site, which is linked with google.

I've run HiJackTHis, and came up with this log:

It's the R0 which concerns me, and I know is the cause. Here's the thing: Even when I have the program "fix it," the minute I do another scan, it's right back there.

All I want is to be able to have my own homepage, and it seems Dell has decided to deprive me of it. Please help me out! How do I get rid of this damnation?!

Two solutions come to mind print your HJT log and go into regedit and delete the start page, or change it to what you want,(you might have to do this in "Safe Mode" though you should have been able to do that in Explorer. Second solution is the better; switch to another browser Firefox springs to mind and set it as the default browser on install, and let power hungry Dell have its Explorer. Hope that helps you Hankus1
PS you might have to edit R1 HKCU as well as that appears to be another Dell redirect
