dell motherboard

I have a dell 1.7 MHZ Intel P4

is it necessary for me to install drivers for the motherboard? The only drivers I have installed manually are Sound and Video drivers. Running XP Pro, fully updated.

 

Yes, as well as the monitor drivers. Pretty easy to find on Dell's site if you need them.

 

I looked on Dells site, but I find no drivers for the motherboard to install..I will look again.. can you show me a link?

thanks for the link, but still don't see any drivers to install for motherboard.

 

Either did I, but I wasn't going to say anything.


If you go to the bottom theres a link that says something like "click here to search my PC for newer drivers" or something like that. Try clicking it and see if it shows any mobo/chipset drivers, XP may have already installed them, not sure.

 

Here, just get your chipset drivers from Intel, if you cant find em from Dell.
