Der Biz: Uk_NM.exe HELP!

    Hey,

    I have tried absolutely everything. I went through the whole steps shown in http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

    But the same problem seems to come back again. I leave the system perfectly fine -- after all the virus scans have taken place, and all the spyware deleted -- and then when I reboot my computer the same file (uk_nm.exe) seems to come back to my Windows System 32 File. I have followed all the steps in the above link, i erased the quarntined files since I assumed that it might been regenerating from there, I have been unlucky in every attempt. I even erased the program from my start-up registry....but like I said once I re-boot the bastard finds it way back inside.

    It is really making my computer slow and Its just so stressing!!!!

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    scan in DOS, Fprot, its free, get latest updates

    and scan for (uk_nm.exe) in dos, delete manually. if still there, try system restore, more spyware progs, mcafee dos, and, i am new to this forum, hope i can mention it but, hirens boot cd

    We have fixed a bunch of these lately. Do the below so we can work up a procedure for you.

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
