desk top hijacked

My desk top has been hijacked and lost the ability to get it back. All my desktop icons are gone and have one pop up window in center of screen stating “Spyware Infection” “your system is infected with spyware etc” The back ground settings in the display properties are grayed out and is non operate able, so I can not change the bacground. Picked up a large dump of spyware have deleted and uninstalled some, but have some bad stuff left. Ran spybot and adaware in save mode. Attached is a current copy of high jack this. Appreciate any helpin final cleanup.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
