Like always I don't know what is happening to my computer. Like the title says desktop icons can't stay put. I really hope it's not some kind of virus. Thanks in advance for reading my logs.

This is something we are currently trying to figure out ourselves as more users have mentioned it.

Your logs so far look very clean, however, can you upload the following files:
    • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\uyuscapi.sys
    • C:\Users\HP\AppData\Roaming\Rim.Desktop.HttpServerSetup.log
    • C:\Users\HP\AppData\Roaming\Rim.Desktop.Exception.log
    • C:\Users\HP\AppData\Roaming\Rim.DesktopHelper.Exception.log
You can zip them all together and attach here for analysis.

Are there any other problems besides the desktop icons not staying put? They reset themselves on every reboot? How exactly do they get sorted / unsorted? Screenshots of Before and After would be nice to have.

Hello, sorry the late reply. My computer is toast. I was using skype and it froze. I turn it off and on manually but windows couldn't boot. I have the following messages: Boot device not found (03F0); Hard disk not exist ; No bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. What should I do next? Thanks

Try going into BIOS and find out if your hard drive is detected in there.

You can get more help on how to do this in the Software or Hardware forums.

Come back here once the hard drive is detected and we can go from there.

Do you have your Windows 7 DVD?

No, the hard drive cannot be detected in bios. When I go on diagnostics and on "Primary hard disk self test" I get the "hard disk not exist" also

I think either the hard drive has gone bad or the hard dive isn't properly connected.
