desktop icons

Some icons on thew desktop look like a piece of paper...do you know how to switch them? here is a link of what it looks like (scroll down a bit and its the second pic)

Right click on an icon and you have the choice to change icons @ properties.

these icons are for programs..says file cannot be found

 

I just through a week of malware removal..maybe the clean up messed some of these files??

Looks like maybe something changed your default shortcut icon overlay. Take a look here:

Post 4 has a link that seems to have worked to restore the normal icons for shortcuts on this person's PC.

Yes, malware removal can leave some lingering problems. Sometimes unwanted programs create strange dependencies that appear as problems similar to this one (browser redirects and so on) after the malware is removed. Just a matter of piecing things back together...
