While searching for a solution to another problem I came across hidden files with .ini extensions. Specifically desktop.ini and picasa.ini I did some initial research which has me quite confused. Some sites say its a rootkit virus others say the files are normal. Should these files be removed and how do I proceed to do so??

    Any help is greatly appreciated

I am working on the same computer. I wanted to edit the initial thread but the option wasn't available. Thanks for the quick response on this.
