    is it susposed to be there (desktop.ini)
    and i just need to hide system files?

    or is it a virus?

    i run vista 32 premium

    It's a legit file, you should just hide your system files by going into Folder Options and checking "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)".

    If doing this doesn't hide them, then uncheck it, click Apply, OK and then re-check the option and click apply, OK.
