I have a hand me down Dell desktop windows xp sp3 and I only have IE installed since that's the only browser I use. Worked fine on Monday but I haven't been able to connect now since Tuesday. Don't know how to fix it. Ran CCleaner, Malwarebytes, and McAfee, nothing came up (they can't connect to internet either). Ran a network diagnostic and everything comes up failed saying unable to connect to wmi service"\\.\root\cimv2'. Unplugged the router (netgear) for a few minutes and plugged back, still nothing. My laptop connects just fine though. Suggestions please...

So after looking around the forum for posts with my problem, I turned off the wireless from my router and plugged in my laptop with the plug for my computer and it said no network detected. What's going on and how do I fix it?

Nevermind. I searched more posts and tried a bunch of things suggested and it works now.
