I tried the professional bit, and just turned the main ones off- seems a lot better on- line, and no unforeseen problem

 

I found that mini partition wizard would not open properly after doing the first part - that is why I keep hard drive copies (lazy, easy to change if I want to, rather than usb backups.) If I knacker this one, I have my other stuff backed up all the time, so, I use whichever hard drive I have in the laptop , and then just copy the replacement to this using mini partition wizard, and my dual hard drive adaptor. How lazy is that! I keep changing them to get them up to date.
Anyway, I thought I should mention that as a possible cause of mini partition wizard not starting, nor re-installing properly. I will keep you posted on that.

 

After a system Restore, to before using DWS, I got mini partition working again. However it did say that the restore was unsuccessful- but it had restored .........Working as before, now, so .....just thought it worth reporting back on this
