Did you right click the exe and chose to run it as admin?

You also might have to take ownership of the file.

Seems these anti-Windows 10 programs have become a cottage industry.

Right click the file, select 'Properties'. At the top of the dialog box that pops up, go to the 'Security' tab. Towards the bottom of that tab, click 'Advanced'. In the next window that comes up, you should see the name of the file and a blue link below it that says 'Change' ... which is the Owner of the file. Click on 'Change' and in the box where your cursor appears (entitled 'Enter the object name to select') type your user name... which is Toms Laptop, I believe? Once you've done that, just hit OK and you should have ownership of the file.

If there are any issues doing this, sometimes it is necessary to disable inheritance on the file, then take ownership. This isn't a typical occurrence with setup files downloaded from the internet, though. Give it a try and if it doesn't work, let us know.

I noticed (before i try as suggested) that i have two users on this laptop, one is toms laptop with full control and the second is toms laptop as administrator. should i remove just for now the "toms laptop with full rights" could it be conflicting with the administrator? I just want to have one toms laptop on here as full administrator for now, please let me know for i cannot even move this destroy windows.exe to the documents where i use to be able to do before. Thanks

Ok, i managed to take over the file but when i click on run as admin, it still states i dont have appropriate permissions to run this file. btw, i went back into security and it states i have full control for toms laptop. what could be wrong,\? Thank

PS, I have file sharing enabled so i could transfer files from desktop to this laptop. does that have anything to do with it?

Has that only started occurring recently?.... or perhaps that may be caused by a setting in your browser's Preferences>Security tab - "Remember passwords for sites"

Yes i checked the password security and it is set to automatic but it did not save major geeks. isn't there an option that comes up at the top of this website that asks to save or not the password. i dont remember seeing it?

The only option would be through a browser pop-up window, not from this website.
