Recently I've been having problems with viruses &whatnot (at times resulting in the internet not working), though, I'm rid of them now and have done a fresh install of Windows XP, completely deleting any/all partitions, now I'm presented with this problem:
    http://i52.tinypic.com/2hhlod0.png

I also unable to reinstall them due to no internet connection.
In Network Connections is it displaying nothing, and also I cannot create a new one: http://i51.tinypic.com/2nlxtw6.png

This issue is present in 2 desktops in the same household, prior to the viruses interference everything was functioning fine, I'm at a loss as it to why this is happening now, seeing as all infections have been removed.

Ok I need to know the service tag# for the dell tower (it is usually found on the righthand side casing of the tower) http://support.euro.dell.com/suppor...rsystem?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs&~mode=popup

I also need the Exact Model of the HP tower, both of these machines are missing their chipset drivers and the inf I have asked for will point me to finding the correct drivers for the machines .

you also need to edit speccy logs too as they are displaying info that should of been removed before been posted, look under Operating system and remove serial key !! you should have been warned of this when instructed to run the program sorry !!

    Thanks. :major

I have also noticed that your OS on the Dell is still at SP2, you will need to install the UAA driver from here for your audio to work ...

    1.) UAA ... ... http://h10025.www.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=uk&lc=en&dlc=en&softwareitem=ob-47284-1

You will also need to install it on your HP machine as that is still at SP1. I would strongly advise that you upgrade both machines to SP3 as soon as we have both machines running smoothly again, I will give you the link for it when we are finished up OK ;)

I have also found the drivers for your HP machine I will be posting them shortly after I have checked the speccy log again.

Both the HP and Dell speakers are internal, and the sound appears to now be working on both.

However, the HPs internet is another thing...

Tried the first one as we do not have wireless.
The installation ran smoothly through the license agreement and extracting files, however instead of the splash screen for the driver appearing (which did with the other, followed by the installation wizard), I get this:

    http://i53.tinypic.com/352q6j6.jpg
Then that all disappears and nothing else follows, except the fact that the internet isn't functioning on it still.
