Dfi System Beeps

Howdy, i dont suppose anyone can help me.....

Im trying to get 2gig of ram in my pc, i have a matched pair gig and a single stick gig, both corsair 3200 xms, i think one is "pro" though.

Thing is no matter what combo of slots i put them in when i put them together i get a repeating long system beep ( the red lights stop on three )

Beeps at startup are a post codes(power on self test) essentially a basic system check to make sure all the hardware is working properly.

Sounds like it does not like the new memory--Try installing one at a time--do they work individually?

Does the one that works have the "pro" or sometin on it?

Right, all three sticks (2x512 and the 1ghz) are identical bar the fact they have a sticker on saying what size they are.

And yes they do work seperately...ive tried the paired sticks on thier own and the gig on its own, they worked seperately.
When i put them together it fails to post, whilst giving me the repeating long system beep.....i just cant figure this out

I also checked the corsair website and the ram is compatible with my board

 

Hehehe, ive just found a link to the dfi site that says one long beep is a ram error, so is it saying that the two types of gig are uncompatible?

 

DFI MOBO's can be picky with memory as well as other hardware

Corsair isnt recommended by DFI for DFI MOBO's but with that said there are DFI systems running Corsair memory.

I'm DFI user I have two Ultra D NF4 system's & a Ultra B socket A
