Diablo 2 question

Hi everyone!
I know some of you might not like this question but anyway...
I been playing diablo 2 for a while now and i decided to download map hack today. This allows the user to see the entire map around him( for those who dont know). The problem is im not sure how safe what i downloaded is. The .rar could contain a key logger or a trojan... I scanned the files with kaspersky and it appears to be safe. Im also running adaware and spybot sd.
Everything is updated. Id like to know if there is some kind of software that is specialized in finding key loggers and other stuff that could potentially send my cd key to someone. Im not gona install the "maphack' before im 100% sure that its safe...

I understand what ur saying and agree with what ur saying in part. Believe me when i say i dont like cheaters; I been playing q3 for years and i really enjoy seeing someone getting caught by pb. However i dont think cheating in q3 and having a map hack in d2 are things that should be compared... I assume that ur aware that pb isnt implemented on battlenet. I dont think its a good excuse but i think more then 50% of the players on battlenet use the maphack, even 'newbs'.

The challenge of playing a game is to play it the way it was meant to be played. Otherwise when you finish it with hacks you have not truely beaten the game and have accomplished nothing.

I have no idea how many times ive beaten the game without any cheats or hax. I wanted to get maphack in order to add something new to the game which is getting old quite frankly. Anyway i agree with you that its a lil silly to try to protect myself from a hack... Avoiding it would obviously be the ultimate solution. But would u suggest abstinence as a way of avoiding stds?

First off, if your playing on battle net, your not playing the game usually, just competeing with others. Second, most versions of Map Hack are safe, i know many who use it, and only a few got a key logger. I guess you get to gamble on this one, since I dont know where you got it from.

 

Ill say this for myself I used it for about 2 years before 1.10 came out then there was a massive account deletion where 10,000 were earased for this (i was one of them). After that I quit using it, really inevitably they will find out your using it through different ways so the best thing to do is to not use it. Please just understand maybe you use it for 2 years or so ya but then when you loose everything those 2 years got you too... then you'll really realize how benfitial map hack was to you. Just a suggestion, but some fast walk/run boots, vigor as a paladin, teleport as anything now that enigma is fairly easy to get, all sorts of things let you move around fast enough to not really need maphack in D2 anymore. Much better than losing your account. I managed to lose an account a few years ago before I knew better than to try and "dupe" items. Lost it trying to dupe an armor so I could get gold to resurect my mercanary... and lost a few level 90+ chars. Was stupid. Learn from my mistake 8 )

Finally, Someone who understands... In diablo 2 theres are MANY ways to move around fast and one is enigma (easy to get). If at all possible use it to avoid getting earased. It seems like the people that understand learn from their past mistakes take me as one of them... hah.... well hope you make the right choice. GL

PB is a joke guys it doesnt stop as much as we would like to think [i dont cheat i never have i just know how to] and PB is easy to get past

[cheats are for losers but i dont look down at those like myself who look in to how to cheat [reson to learn how to know a cheat when i see one and 2nd how to stop them [lol maybe]
