dial up numbers

does anyone know how to change the number a modem dials from

im using dial up from a hotel and it has two lines one being the main
when i plug in the laptop it uses the main line causing me to get moaned at
does any1 know how to change it so that it uses the other less important number

In XP you would right click my network places and select properties. You should then see your connection listed and when you right click it and select properties, you should be able to set the number on one of the tabs or buttons. In Win9x, you do the same, but double click my computer, and double click dial up networking.

just looked on internet connections and it has 3 items in there

AOL
AOL DIALLER &
LOCAL AREA CONNECTION 4

all are disconnected
i tried to connect but nothing happened
im at my sisters house now and it didnt even ask me to put the phone number in
i made a new location but it never asked the number of the line i was using

 

also i just noticed that in internet properties, the tab is set to never dial a connection so i changed it to dial my default and pressed apply then when i sign off and back on again it switched back
