dialers and illegal use

    I read somewhere that some dialers and worms, etc. can be installed and run on your computer while you are online and they can be used for illegal activity. I tried to explain this to my husband and realized I didn't have enough information. could someone please expound on this subject and explain what kind of illegal activities might be happening? Is it similar to someone using stolen license plates on their cars to commit a robbery? He is trying to get across to a group of young people the dangers other than the obvious of porn and some music sites. Thanks for your imput. Ice Maiden:confused:
