Diamonddollz spyware?

Hi all..

Pat here from NJ..

I can't even find this listed on Google when I search:

Has anyone ever had a persistet download prompt saying "Diamonddollz"?

I get this popping up when I go to Outlook.. The only thing I can figure out is that it's from Media Motor...

When I click to close the prompt window, it keeps on wanting me to download. I know this is spyware, but, I can't even find a reference to this when searching Google, etc...

After getting this, I get an error that says "Motoin.exe file is linked to missing shell.32DLL:SHGetFolder PATH A.

I have no clue.. very strange.. I know I picked it up from some site, but, can't remember which one...

shell.32DLL is a valid .dll, sometimes spyware will have the same name. The first step would be to try and do the TUTORIAL.

This site has alot of good tools for cleaning up your computer. It's very important that the first thing you do is the following:

First, please follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal.
If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

Try this... you may find it's all you need. If not post your results and I am sure one of the PROS can help you. These guys are quite busy, as you can see by the number of posts, so hang in there. Good Luck!!

I realize my post sounded terribly newbie.. but, I'm an old girl, that's intent on fixing what messes up my machine.. And, I've downloaded and used many of the programs you suggest...even tweaked the registry without any problems..

So, I will download some of the programs you have recommended and keep on tryin...

Although I can't promise I'll be able to continue without your help after all is said and done..

In the registry, I did find mention of "media motor" in the startup, and I deleted it... So far, no problems...

Thanks for your help.. I do realize how much you guys work to help us out, and it's very much appreciated...Just know that I know "somewhat" what I'm doin' for an old hippie girl..
