Get so goofed up on someones birthday or anniversary that you called them to send your love, best wishes, congrats and what not...very pleased because you didn't lose track of the days and forget to call.....only to have them tell you you're a week late? *THUD*

Called to wish my parents a happy anniversay....yup! I goofed up...and this isn't the first time!!!! For some reason I can't get it out of my head that their anniversary is the day before Valentines day and it's not...it's on the 7th. Oiy! Well, at least my dad had a real good laugh over it. lol

Dad! If you see this...I'll say it one more time....Happy Anniversary!:D:D

Now I'll go hang my head in shame while Chris beats me with a wet noodle for bugging him EVERY day this past week to remind to to call today so I wouldn't forget....Oiy...lol

    Hey AbbySue,
I did the exact same thing for years...I always thought their anniversary was on the 5th of July, and I would call them on the 5th...only for them to tell me once again, that it is was the 3rd. I bet I did this 5 or 6 years in a row.

LOL I have gotten much better about it over the years but I can never consistently get my parents anniversary right. *smacks self in head* Has to be the Valentines day connection.

I now have it written on the calendar...done in blue marker and big letters so maybe next year I'll hit the right day! :D Oh yeah! And I DID write it for the 7th! lol

    Hey Abby--

You have nothing to be ashamed of, if you were the only one , then there wouldn't be that "belated" section in every greeting card rack :D

Abby, if think that's bad. You may be comforted to know, at least you're not as bad as I am.

I STILL have a heap of Christmas cards waiting to be sent on my dining room table. And I STILL have this Christmas present sitting in the floor for someone I've see 'prolly about a dozen or more times since Christmas, including last night (I am chronic, doh!).

Thanks for sharing your 'goofs' martinch and Phantom...I really am feeling much better about it all and having this to show Chris helps too;) Poor guy..I bugged him about it all week so I wouldn't forget to call....weekday's drag by because he has to commute so far to work and then we get so caught up in having 'us' time on the weekends we lose track of everything else.

See Dad? I'm NOT a ditzy blond! LOL

Phantom....I gotta say it...you are the WORST case I've ever heardof...gotta love ya!:D

Last year I mis-remembered my sisters birthday by one day, but the worst was the year my son was born. He was born on October 12th, and mom's birthday is on the 15th. I totally forgot about it. Remembered it a couple of weeks later and went OMG!

My problem is I can remember the occasion right up to the very day, and then remember the NEXT day that I forgot to call.

My dad and my stepmom have been married for 25 years. To this day, I have no idea when her birthday or their anniversary are. I know that both of those events are within a week either side of my dad's birthday, but I couldn't tell you if they're both before, both after, or one on either side (and if it's that last choice, which one is first).

We just celebrate all at once, and I get them a big present to cover all three. :D

I am at fault for sending my wife a card ONE MONTH EARLY before we were married.....

    I have not forgotten yet.

I have those 2002 and 2003 taxes nagging at me though.......

Don't feel bad AbbySue, I am so horrible with important dates that I have them set up on my webmail and they send me notifications by email...............:D

    I'm with Phantom :(

I have informed my family and friends that designated holidays, birthdays and anniversaries are to be considered to be on the day they get my cards. :)

I have elevated procrastination to an art form. :p
