Diff Ways To Search

    what are diff ways to search to get to Task Scheduler

    search button on left bottom hand corner is gone, its been disabled


    also are there any ways to use the search on left bottom hand corner without using bing? anyway to disable bing?

    Assuming it's the text box for Search that is missing rather than the button itself just right click an empty area of the taskbar, click on Search and tick Show Search Box.

    You can open Task Scheduler with the Windows button and R (for Run) and enter taskschd.msc or you could enter that into command prompt or just start typing Task Scheduler into the Search box once you've restored it. Web searches that way will use Bing and you can't change that I don't believe, but you could search with a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox and choose your search engine.

    Hopefully you have now managed to reinstate the search box. Winkey + R isn't actually a search facility at all, it is the way to run many powerful commands such as the Task Scheduler outside of the graphical user interface and that's why the article doesn't refer to it. If it's just a way to find files you actually need you can't beat Everything as recommended in the article.
