    Hi.
I have just uninstalled HaiHaiSoft media player using Revo uninstaller at its most powerful followed up by a registry clean with CCleaner and a final file search using the Windows utility. However when I insert a disk HaiHai comes up as an option to play the disk. I have tried Tweak UI but that wont allow me to delete the entry.
    I would appreciate any ideas.

    Regards Alex.

    Hi

Just a random educated guess, but try this app http://windowsxp.mvps.org/autoplayhandlers.htm and check that its not listed as an autoplay handler, if it is remove it.

What Windows version you using? like to know just in case a different route is needed or registry editing option is needed.

    Hi again,

Tried the app but it wasn't listed as an autoplay handler so I couldn't delete it. Have you any other thoughts?

    Regards Alex

    Hi

If your OK with editing or checing the registry (Warning is that deleting the wrong thing can cause soem software not to work, so backup the folder with the key your about to delete just in case, to do this right click and export)

open regedit and navigate to this location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers

and check for that HaiHai software reference and then right click delete.

    Hi Halo,

I have just been there and again there is no sign of HaiHai. The only place it appears is in that list of options that appears when I insert a disk, it's very strange. There must be some kind of file somewhere but I just can't find it.

    Regards Alex.

    Hi DomLuc and Parodoxdream,

Tried both suggestions and still no luck. Wherever this entry is hidden it sure doesn't want to be found. Thanks for your suggestions , I will keep looking. It is strange though that it is in the options list but I can't locate a file or a registry entry.

    Regards Alex
