...wondering if anyone has any personal experience with this cam(Kodak DX4530)? -the worst reviews are do to poor lens cap -and possibly slow shutter speed: my concern is this complaint of slow shutter-speed -who cares about the lens-cap.
My Mother has just bought this digicam but is willing to take it back on my (god help us all) say so.
Can anyone comment from personel experience on the shutter-speed -or their over-all impression?
(yeah: I could have posted this in the Hardware forum -but thought that seeing this was a peripheral I figured that the Lounge was a better spot).
    Thanks for your time,

Not experienced that actual camera AFAIKR but most of the low - middle ranges of digital cameras all suffer from shutter lag to some degree, I know my Fuji one does, sadly as digital cameras have taken off and the megapixels have increased, the lag effect hasnt really caught up yet.

    a really good review site

one thing I would advise is to once you have pressed the shutter button to take a picture, dont move the camera rigth away just hold for a second, then this minimises the resulting burry effect that can happen.
