DirectCD 4 driver causing problems

I recently re installed an old version of the Adaptec Direct cd 4 on my PC which is running xp+sp2 which, in addition to not working appears to have installed an incompatible driver which is causing a lot of problems. I uninstalled the Direct cd prog. but the problem still persisted.
I found a small prog called Roxi-zap on a usb stick, which I had used many years ago to get rid of the original installation of Direct cd, and ran it without success!
I have tried downloading a compatible update from Roxio.Inc, but did not find anything for the Direct cd4 prog.
Anyone out there with ideas on what to do? as it's gone beyond my capability.

Thanks for that! Unfortunately, despite doing a deep scan, nothing showed up.
A useful site, with numerous other progs which I will look at.
    Thanks again!

    Hi

You could try the MS Clean-up Util HERE but its likely not to find a driver , only software, but still worth a try.

alternatively look in add/remove and also Device Manager for any Roxio applications and uninstall them.

Could you state what issues this is causing as in what are you noticing that the driver has broken?
