I am unable to play games. Midnight racing and Rallisport challenge are examples. The games have worked previously. When i start them it looks like it is going to run then the screen goes black and them goes back to desk top.
No error messages are displayed. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

First thing I'd do is uninstall the video driver, reboot, and reload it. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling direct x. I'm assuming you have WinXP and DX9c since you didn't post any details. I looked for drivers at the NVidia web site, but the card is too old and isn't supported anymore. I poked around and found a driver that should work:
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71_2.html
You can get DirectX 9.0c here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...c0-1b2f-428e-bd79-02df977d17b8&displaylang=en
This is NOT the end user runtime. It the Redistributable and it should install completely and fix any DirectX problems you're having. Just a comment, you can get NEW video cards at NewEgg for about $30 (plus maybe $10 for S&H) that would be 10 times the card you're running now....
