    Hi,

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit edition. I am having problems using the disk check utility to check for problems on my external hdd. By the way, the system format is exfat if that matters. I know for a fact that there are errors on this hdd. When I have started the disk check it makes no progress in the checking process, which I have let run for a few hours (my computer is not slow by any means; I have a dual core processor w/ 4 gigs of ram). There have been other times where it has said that the drive is inaccessible. Even Iolo System Mechanic can not access it to run a disk check. However, I can still access the files inside.

What I want to to is to schedule a disk check when I restart my computer. However I cannot find any dos commands on the internet to do this. Does anyone know how to manually force a external hdd to do a disk check on reboot?
