   Is Active X files needed to be retained so don't clean them up? I never have placed a Check in the box "My Documents" Should I?

   What are you trying to clean up? Temp files? If so you can use CCleaner:
   CCleaner:
   http://www.majorgeeks.com/CCleaner_d4191.html
   
   or go to start / run / type "%temp%" without qoutes and delete.
