display stuck in safe mode size

After solving my malware problems with MajorGeeks help (in this post http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=81709) I went through the two sticky to-do posts one more time to be safe (1. Do this before Posting and 2. How to Avoid Malware/Viruses)

Everything was going smooth until I booted into safe mode, ran the spyware detectors, and then tried to boot back into normal mode. Now, even though Im supposedly in Normal mode, my screen is the size of safe mode (with a 2" perimeter of black) and the display resolution is very low. So low, in fact, that Spy Sweeper pops up evertime I start to tell me its too low to run.

The only thing that I have done which I think could be related is try to update with Windows SP 2, but that failed so I cancelled the installation halfway through.

Also, I have been getting an error message saying something like "RASMAN.DLL cannot be found or opened" which may/may not be related.

Any advice?

Have you tried right clicking on the desktop>Properties>Settings and checking that the Color setting is correct (high or True Color) and that the screen resolution is at the correct setting too.

If they are then I suggest you re-install your video drivers.
