When trying to install drivers, 6.86_nforce_win2kxp_international_whql.exe and 162.18_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe off of the flash drive, a stop message pops up that claims: "This program is used internally by PackageFromTheWeb. It shoud not be executed directly"
Also, before I had uninstalled my network drivers My computer could briefly connect to the internet untill a "internet connection" under "internet gateway" showed up in network connections. Now it sits there disabled but I cant seem to delete it. MSCONFIG crashes and displays multiple crash dialogues. I start Security Task Manager and the only thing that's out of place is a %1 /s, its description is "(starts when programs are launched!)(not active). Also, I know that one of my drivers had been replaced when this all started and there was an error saying something crashed with "DL.exe" Originally when I had did a system search and deleted the dl.exe file in C:\Documents and Settings\Jack my computer would restart into a BlackSOD. I am currently booting off of a NTLDR boot cd I made a while back. I have ran "antibagz-en.exe" and nothing came up. I've also tried aproposfix.exe, VundoFix.exe, fsbl.exe, spybot, adaware, and was using AVG with the latest definitions when this all happened. Since I believe AVG to be useless, I tried to uninstall it but it gave me a "This installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus. etc..."

I'm currently running on my second drive with a second instalation of XP. I was installing the nvidia drivers off of the flash drive and amazingly dl.exe popped up on my newly installed xp. Somehow the drivers on my JUMP DRIVE got infected. I'm currently wiping that drive again and I'm going to try downloading new drivers from a different computer onto a cd-r.

This thing is really driving me nuts, Im amazed at who wrote this thing.
I could really use some help identifying whats the problem behind all this. Im guessing some kind of Trojan.

I really want to get to the end of this, my pride is at stake here!

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, renaming, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy - only for Windows XP, 2K, & NT users
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy. - only for Windows XP, 2K, & NT users
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
