Is it possible to disable the DLA in windows 7?

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

    Greetings, Hendoggy.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I did find this:

    1. Right-click the drive name in My Computer.
    2. Select Properties from the shortcut menu.
    3. Click the DLA tab on the Properties dialog box.
    4. Click the "Enable DLA on your drives" checkbox until the checkmark disappears.
    5. Click OK.

If that doesn't apply, then try this:

    1. Select "Run" from the Windows Start menu.
    2. Type "cmd" without the quote marks into the Run dialog box.
    3. Click OK.
    4. A DOS command line window appears.
    5. To disable DLA, type "Dla.exe disable X:" without the quote marks. Replace "X" with the drive letter of your recorder drive.
    6. Press Enter on your keyboard.

    From Hardware Knowledge Base.

Thanks Cali, I have tried that and I am getting 'Dla.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external, etc.

Its not working with that command on windows 7 I guess.
